This is a tour designed around the busy working lives of us all.
A long weekend in the South of France, in the sun. Arriving on Friday, ride on Saturday and Sunday, travel home Monday.
Itinerary:
Friday
Meet and greet the Gecko staff and your fellow riders. We will then show you to your accommodation to freshen up after the journey. Then feel free to relax with us, or sample the local French hospitality in our local bar (which also serves excellent food 7pm-10pm).
Saturday
An early start after breakfast, approx. 9am (provisions can be ordered on booking). We are in the saddle until 12.30pm (rest breaks and photo shots along the way), when we stop for lunch at the local Plan d’eau (bbq and swimming area), a chance to cool down and enjoy a swim in the lake.
At approx 1.30pm we are back in the saddle for more green lanes, arriving back at your Gite (Chalet) around 5.30pm. On the first riding day you are invited to join us for a BBQ, we like to make things as informal as possible, giving us all a chance to get to know each other and chat about the mornings lanes.
Sunday
Is much more of the same, except we stop at a local restaurant which gives you a chance to sample some local cuisine.
What our tour includes:-
- Two full days riding.
- Self-catering Gite.
- Saturday’s BBQ plus refreshments (vegetarian option available).
- Back-up and bike recovery and a fully trained bike mechanic.
